01 / Visibility Human Crafted Foundation
An international cultural initiativeHuman creativity
deserves to
remain visible.
Discover the mission
Human authorship. Cultural memory.
The human contribution.
Made visible.
As machines become capable of creating images, words, music and films, knowing what human beings contributed to a work becomes part of understanding the work itself.
Human Crafted exists to make that contribution visible.
02 The change
How something
was made is part
of what it is.
For most of human history, a cultural work carried an implicit fact: people had made it.
That can no longer be assumed.
Creative provenance is becoming part of cultural meaning.
03 / Transmission Cultural sustainability
Human creativity is part of what we pass on.
Culture is not only
what we preserve. It is also what we still
know how to create.
A living inheritance
Drawing, writing, composing, performing, directing, animating and designing are forms of knowledge.
They survive because people practise them, teach them and transform them.
Human Crafted calls this cultural sustainability.
Explore human creativity04 The proposed mark
We are developing a framework through which audiences, institutions and cultural organisations can recognise meaningful human creative contribution behind a work.
Human Crafted will not judge whether a work is good or bad. It will answer a different question:
What did human beings contribute to making it?
The framework and its criteria are currently in development. Certification is not yet available.
05 The origin
An animated feature in development
YESHUA — Dreyer’s Jesus
65,000drawings.
Made by human hands.
Approximately 65,000 drawings and paintings planned.
Human Crafted
began with a film.
YESHUA — Dreyer’s Jesus is conceived as an animated feature built from approximately 65,000 drawings and paintings created by artists, without generative AI in its visual creation.
It raised a question larger than cinema:
When creation can happen in seconds, how do we keep visible the human knowledge, time and decisions behind what takes years to make?
That question became Human Crafted.
Discover the origin06 The future
The future should inherit
more than our works. It should inherit our
capacity to create them.
Visibility.
Transmission.
Cultural sustainability.
Human Crafted Foundation is being established to bring together artists, institutions, researchers, educators, cultural policymakers and technology organisations to develop a credible international framework for recognising human creative contribution.
